The transformer is the most important component in passive DI boxes. At the heart of the Essential passive DI box is the Lundahl LL1935 transformer.

Passive DI Box 200 front

Featuring a Lundahl transformer and an XLR-to-jack combo socket for galvanic isolation of balanced signals.

Aktive DI Box 200 side

Reference DI featuring Lundahl LL2811 for studio-grade precision and maximum headroom.

Active DI box with an isolation transformer for a neutral sound without hum.

This line isolation box is designed to provide maximum signal integrity at high levels. You’ll need it particularly between the mixing desk and the power amplifiers, when integrating a DJ mixer into the system, for 4-point sound reinforcement, or for delay lines in large halls or where there are long cable runs.

Two-channel jack isolator box with two Lundahl transformers. It can convert unbalanced jack signals to balanced, balanced jack signals to unbalanced, split a jack signal into two jack outputs, or merge two signals into a single output.

Provides space for a total of nine DI boxes from Horst Sitte Audio

HIGHLIGHTS FROM HORST SITTE AUDIO

We assemble the hand-selected components into the robust and user-friendly housing we have developed ourselves:

  • Made from 60 x 40 mm square aluminium tubing with a 4 mm wall thickness, milled to a length of 127.5 mm. Compact, indestructible and lightweight!
  • Engraved signal path: Even in poor lighting conditions, you can quickly identify the inputs and outputs.
  • Housing connection: The housings can be quickly connected to one another using a locking system without the need for tools.
  • Protective rim: The protruding rim protects switches and sockets from accidental operation or knocks.
  • Recesses in the housing for the use of angled plugs.
  • Distinctive: The surfaces are glass bead blasted and colour-anodised. This not only ensures the DI box sits comfortably in your hand, but also allows you to identify the model at a glance. Neither heavy use nor cleaning agents can damage the laser-etched lettering.
  • Personalised: On request, we can engrave your name or logo on the back, ensuring there is no risk of mix-ups. nimble_asset_DSC8024-scaled

What we look for in DI boxes: signal fidelity, minimal distortion and durability. To achieve this, we carefully select every single component for the DI boxes from HORST SITTE AUDIO:

  • Lundahl audio transformers: : These premium Swedish transformers offer a wide frequency range, ensuring that even loud sources with high input levels are transmitted to the mixing desk without any issues – perfect for our passive DI boxes. Long cable runs can be bridged without distortion using this transformer. We use exclusively Lundahl transformers with MU-metal cores and shielding. This ensures that magnetic fields do not cause distortion, which can otherwise occur particularly in the bass range. .
  • Switches from E-Switch: The US manufacturer specialises in electromechanical switches. We are impressed by their high cycle life and quiet switching.
  • Nichicon capacitors:: These Japanese high-end audio components offer minimal distortion, excellent frequency response and long-term stability without hum or colouration. We value the signal purity of these capacitors.
  • Neutrik sockets: We use exclusively XLR sockets from Neutrik, the world’s leading manufacturer of professional audio connectors based in Liechtenstein, for all inputs and outputs. These durable sockets ensure robust and reliable connections and have been the high-end standard on stages, in studios and in media technology for decades.
  • PCBs:We use PCBs from the Netherlands. When it comes to the layout – that is, the arrangement and routing of the traces, components, ground planes and spacing – we ensure short, logically routed signal paths for loss-free signal transmission.
